Roll & Release: MFR for the Lower Body at Centro La Paz

Explore the tools and techniques of self-myofascial release (aka self-massage) focusing on the feet, legs, and glutes.

This workshop is great for anyone that spends a lot of time on their feet - whether for sport or hobby or daily life duties or career (waiters, bartenders, runners, cyclists, etc… everyone is welcome!). We’ll focus on releasing tension and speak to tissue health and hydration. Experience for yourself and learn why MFR helps to ease pain, enhance recovery, and, overtime, can even help increase flexibility and range of motion. At the end of the workshop you will have the knowledge to safely and effectively incorporate MFR into your personal practice, athletic recovery, or self-care routine.

Props and tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. You will want a yoga mat (you can rent one from La Paz) and to wear comfortable clothing - we will be working on the floor and from standing. These workshops are beneficial for everyone: if you sit a lot, if you stand a lot, if you’re a surfer or athlete, or totally new to movement and mindfulness. These workshops can also be beneficial for yoga students and teachers that want to incorporate MFR into their practice or teaching.
