WORLD OCEANS' DAY

You've given me some of my highest highs as well as some of the most terrifying and humbling experiences. You've shown me what's possible, leading me to my edge, offering me a platform to stand tall in my greatness, all while making sure I keep my ego well out of the way.

You taught me the true meaning of trust, fearlessness, presence, and the power that lies in surrender. You've given me reasons to travel around the world and a place to connect with some of the most amazing people - people that become friends, friends that become family. And it's through your waters that you ground me, washing away the things that no longer serve, empowering me to live life as only I can.

Self-expression. Release. Passion. Drive. Connection to something bigger than myself. I have SO MUCH because of you, and now, more than ever, I'm committed to doing my share to help keep you alive and well. Because the ocean doesn't need us, WE NEED THE OCEAN. And like conservationist Sylvia Earle tells us, "No water, no life. No blue, no green."

There are many ways to minimize the negative impact that us humans have on the oceans and it doesn't have to be some extreme life change. I think one of the easiest ways is to reduce, or even better completely do away with, our obsession with single-use plastics. There are so many other sustainable options out there - in fact, I'll write up a blog post with some of my favorites. Whether you live near the coast or 1,000 miles away we ALL have an impact on the ocean. What are you doing to make a difference? Let's share + inspire positive change throughout the world!
