Shortly after my meditation this morning, as I was sipping my coffee and writing in my journal, this mantra/affirmation drifted into my mind:
I am constantly and consciously creating my best life.

I reflected on this, and I thought I’d share what I took from it, what it means to me, and maybe my words will also land with you. If not, that's cool too, but I find more often than not we all experience similar feelings.
So, how I see it:
Every moment is an opportunity for me to step in - no, lean in - and take charge of my life.
Making the aligned decisions that serve my highest self.
Deciding the best use of my time for both my own sanity and my other commitments.
Choosing to be awake in every moment of my life:
From the fun, to the easy, to the exciting, as well as the challenges, the work, the uncomfortable, and the mundane…
Because in reality, it’s really just these tiny moments strung together that creates the richness of life.

This affirmation showed up to remind me that I have a choice in every one of these moments as to how I want to show up - how I want to feel, respond, interact - what I want to do. And I’m lucky and I’m grateful to have the freedom and the power to be anything I want to be…
So if I’m fortunate enough to have this freedom, then why not choose to be always working towards it??

And by writing this, I’m not trying to say that I (or you) need to be always working hard, shit together 100% of the time… And really it’s not even about achieving great success, or making money, or having the “best & nicest” things… Because sometimes the choices that best serve myself and my journey (and you and your journey) require us to relax, surrender, soften, trust, and let go. And at the same time, there will be choices that I (or you) have to make that require us to hold on, dig deep, get grounded, find that fire, and do the work needed to move through - sometimes pushing through in order to get to the other side.

So basically what I’m trying to say, what I’m reminding my self of, is that life is what I make of it.
In every moment I am creating my life - whether I am aware of it or not.
And if I choose to, and if you choose to, we can all wake up and be consciously involved in creating these many moments that make up this full string of a great life.
We all hold the power.

Blessings + namaste!

With love,
Cait
