As many of you know, the Summer Solstice is this Friday, June 21st, and here in the northern hemisphere it means that it’s time to officially welcome summer with a Solstice 108! But why 108? Why Sun Salutations? What does this all mean??
Roll out your mat with me once a month for a Community Yoga Class! These monthly meet-ups are intended to help build, grow and bridge the local + visiting yoga communities, as well as to help raise awareness and donations for local organizations and people doing positive things in the community. Donations are not mandatory, and everyone is welcome to join the practice.
If you’ve been following along on social media, then you probably know that I’ve teamed up with my dear friend + bad-ass boss babe Ariana of Summer Love Jewelry to support her with her new monthly initiative, AUCTIONS FOR CHARITY, which just launched for a week - kicking off this past Sunday 11/18 - to benefit the California Community Foundation Wildfire Relief Fund.
It’s the Summer Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere. Many cultures, religions, and groups of people hold this day as sacred and perform different “rituals” to honor this new season. Yogis across the world join together for 108 Sun Salutations as a way to honor this transitional time of year. But why??
Positive, powerful change needs to start from the ground up…or, in many cases, from the yoga mat up. That’s why Manduka and Susan G. Komen are partnering to host project:OM, the world’s largest yoga class of One Million bodies strong to battle breast cancer. Join us at CENTRO LA PAZ this Sunday, May 28th from 12-2pm...
Bali is a place that had always been on my list of places to visit before I die, but it’s a place that also seemed so far away, so foreign, and somewhere that I didn’t think I was quite ready for… Not just yet. That is until, about a year ago now, I received an email from Go Light Our World Founder, Kayla Nielsen, that would change everything.
